Performing Arts Work

Craig has had the pleasure and privilege of interpreting in some remarkably diverse performing arts settings with talented Deaf and hearing artists.  In addition to the predictable English to ASL interpreting work in front of an audience has worked in auditions, rehearsals, workshops, design/production meetings, on set for TV and commercial shoots, worked as the feed for a CDI, and provided ASL to English interpretations via P.A. for hearing audiences.

Not long ago, he had the pleasure of interpreting a cabaret performance for a friend, Jared Lopatin, at the Duplex in Manhattan's West Village.  He loved the translation process for the songs Jared selected and is extremely grateful to his dear friend, Garrett Zuercher with whom he collaborated on the ASL translations.  Here are some clips from that show:

"Putting It Together" (Stephen Sondheim)

"Stars and the Moon" (Jason Robert Brown)

"You're Aging Well" (Dar Williams)
